A didgeridoo is usually cylindrical or conical in shape. It can measure 1, 2 or 3 metres in length. Generally, the longer the instrument, the deeper the sound.
It is made from tree trunk of an eucalyptus or PVC (plastic)
It is the world's oldest wind instrument.
How to make your own didgeridoo
Materials:
- Paper tube (one long paper tube or 3 paper towel rolls).
- White paper.
- Crayons.
- Transparent tape.
Instructions:
- Tape paper towel rolls to form a single long tube.
- Cut enough white paper to cover the paper tube.
- Make your "aboriginal art" design on the white paper.
- Cover the tube with your design.
- Blow into the tube and discover the different sounds that you can make.
